INTRODUCTION

Cavalry is a TCG battle arena take on poker. It lets you experience a similar strategy planning game to magic the gathering with a standard deck of cards. The game can be played with 2-4 players.

FUNDAMENTALS

There are five rows that cards can be placed in. In order to win, you must place cards down to the field, one card per turn, in order to “win” a battle against your opponent’s defending hand in the same column.

You win the game when you have captured two columns next to each other, or three total.

FIGHTING YOUR OPPONENT

Place cards and make mini-poker hands to win a row. These are the different orders of hands, order placed onto the field does not matter, so a 243 would still count as a straight.

Unlike regular poker, face cards aren’t used in a hand, so the values of cards go from 2-10.

JACKS AND ACES

 All Aces can be any number between 2-5.

Similar to aces, Jacks can be any number from 6-10.

These cards all simultaneously all numbers they can be while on the field, allowing for new hands to be made on the fly.

KINGS AND QUEENS

Here’s an example of what would happen to an opposing pile when you play a queen:

ADDITIONAL RULES

1. Make sure you always have seven cards in hand.
2. You cannot play a face card you played last turn.
3. If the deck runs out, shuffle all the non-king and queen cards back in and continue the game.
